Default body color and insurance rates?

i've heard that a yellow or orange color car will actually be cheaper, insurance rate wise... anyone care to comment on this? i'm thinking red and black are the most expensive colors.....but does it really matter on a civic tho?

It doesn't matter on any car. A few friends and I were talking about the same thing. This girl said that yellow was expensive to insure. I called my insurance agent to see, and he said that color doesn't effect the price of insurance (at least at State Farm). I asked if any companies have higher rates for different colors and he said that he hadn't ever heard of such an instance. BTW, I used to own a red car - not higher...
