99-00 civic fog light question, is it bright enough ???

Default 99-00 civic fog light question, is it bright enough ???

i just bought a fog light kit for my 00 coupe, do i need to replace the bulb with the yellow bulb or put a yellow film on them to make it brighter? what do you guys recommend

For what they are , they are bright enough to serve thier purpose. Your foglights use H3 bulbs. The thing iv'e noticed with H3 bulbs, the blue or yellow coated ones seem to give off less light than tinting the actual foglight housings lens. If you are going for the yellow output, use lamin-x vinyl tinting material.

f you would like upgrade the brightness of your foglights, do not go 100W because the harness is not made to handle more than 55w and if you were to handle 10w you'd have to hack the harness and beef up all the wires and fuse holder. I'd recommend going with a 6000k-1000k HID kits. While the 3000k kits give off a yellow light, they are stupid bright!!!, wil blind everyone and attract alot more attention.

i instaled them today and YES they are bright enough, thanks for the info

yeah, you could go with 3000K but chances are if you are running them with halogen head lamps, I think the fogs would flood the road better than your headlights..hah.
