i heard that a bike needs a major tune-up at 25,000 miles. is that correct? i got a 99 R6 with 23,00 miles on it.

 

I recommend calling up your dealer and ordering the factory manual for that R6. It will have TONS of important maintenance info including the maintenance schedule. You can still have the dealer do all the work, but now you will know exactly what they are supposed to do.

Different motorcycles vary greatly in their servicing requirements.
