if its a p28 then cut J1 and make it run on internal ROM like it once did. (p28) thats for a d series at least.
dont run b18 maps on a d series, waste of fuel and power.

When i chip an ECU i always put a jumper in J1, incase you need to go back to the internal ROM... see if you have that jumper (J1 is located above the chip) and disconnect it. If its a wire jumper, than you can cut it and just resolder a new wire in when you want to revert to the chip

your car wont run smooth because it is chipped for that specfic engine ...air and fuel ratio will be different too..u need to get a unchipped p28 ecu or get the chipped p28 ecu reprogramed

Or he can do a very easy (and free) mod to make his ecu run correctly for his motor and either pull or cut J1.

with the ecu positioned with the aftermarket chip in the lower right corner... above it there will be a set of resistors. in that bunch will either be a solid wire or a jumper in "J1" its labeled so you cant miss it... if you cut it, or pull the jumper out, it will make the ecu go back to the factory chip and settings which are meant for the engine running. when your ready to go back to the b series, just solder in a new wire or re-install the jumper and it will read from the aftermarket chip
