90 CRX DX Caliper won't come off
I have a 90 CRX DX that I am trying to replace the front pads on. I've changed many brake pads on various cars in my life, so all I do is unbolt the bottom caliper bolt and swing it up. I did that and its stuck on something, it will wiggle a little bit but it won't come up. I looked in the factory service manual and I was already doing exactly what it says. I thought maybe something was wrong with it so I went to the other side and the exact same thing happened. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

its probably seized up. you did take the small 12mm headed bolt(caliper pin) out right ,not the big caliper bolt right? just start banging on it with a hammer it might have just rusted up

I took out the bolt on the bottom that goes through the caliper mount, which I think is the 12mm one you are referring to.
I figured I should start tapping/banging on it but I wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing. I'm not in love with the calipers on there right now but I have enough crap to fix already, I don't want to brake the calipers.
Thanks for the help!

Sometimes pushing the slide pin in and then pull the caliper up helps... Unless the head of the slide pin is seized on the caliper itself....or the slide pin up top is seized inside and can't rotate.
If you can't get it out why not just unbolt the top bolt and remove the whole caliper to see where its stuck.
If its stuck on the slide pin then remove the pin....heat and tap
If caliper comes right off after removing the top caliper bolt then your slide pin is seized and can't rotate. If this is the case leave it, do the brakes by removing 2 bolts on caliper instead of 1. Problem solved!!

Is the slide pin the metal piece that the bottom caliper bolt goes into, the one with boots on it? I would've unbolted the top bolt but there isn't one it seems. The only reason I haven't pulled the whole caliper yet is that I don't want to dump a bunch of fluid...anyone have good ideas for keeping the brake fluid from dumping out besides going and buying some sort of plug?
I'm about to head to my garage right now and try a few of these ideas, but if I can't get it...I'll be back!!! Thanks again for everyone's help.

Sounds like a seized slide pin and even if u somehow replaced the brake pads without fixing the seized slide pin, your braking wont be as good.
U have to fix it. Have u checked if the caliper piston goes all the way in??

Yes the slide pin is protected by those black rubber boots. There are 2 bolts holding that caliper to the bracket! Look for the black boots and there will be a bolt on the end of each one.
You can remove the caliper without removing the brake line. No fluid will come out unless your remove the brakeline.
Just take off the caliper and hang it on something with a wire. Inspect the slides and see if they actual "slide"
