Need to lower HC during 15mph for smog
Here are my numbers
15mph
CO2 = 14.9
O2 = 0.0
HC
Max = 61
Meas = 70
CO
Max = .54
Meas = .07
NO
Max = 467
Meas = 18
Should i retard timing, advance timing, run lower octane, higher octane, wider spark plug gap?

ok silly question how long has it been since a oil change ?
the failure is so close 9ppm is close what plugs do you have in it and please all mods and so forth

Brand new NGK Bkr6-11 gapped to 52, got about 200 miles since last oil change, but I was also running a mix of 91 and 100 octane. About 8 gallons 91 octane and 2 gallons 100 octane. GSR, bc3 cams, skunk2 IM, edelbrock 65 mm TB, AEM v2 intake, Edelbrock exhaust, 2.5" kteller exhaust
The simple solution.

I'm completely serious. Dropped my HC and NOx counts around 15% each on a dirty running 1988 Civic, and allowed me to pass.
Alternatively, ISO HEET

Which is just a gas line anti-freeze, and available at most Pep Boys or similar stores. Its alcohol, and burns clean, without producing HC. Since it burns cooler, ti also reduces you NOx.
