Default how low can i go???

Hello fellow s2k’ers,

I been gone for a while from the Honda-tech scene. I’ve been just enjoying my stock s2000. But now its time for suspension, I want full suspension just kinda wondering what YOUR opinions were and what you have and how it rides. I want my fender to sit on my rims (front and back)thats how low i want my s2k to be. I want the ride to feel as close to stock ride as possible not super bouncy . Price isn’t really an issue. Thank you……

any 1 piece coilovers will slam ur ride. i got apexi n1's and if i slammed it all the way, it would tuck the lug nuts. they all ride pretty smooth, and if u want stiffness then just adjust them. All coilvers are good for daily street use.

iirc silentdancer was on jics, which i hear their u.s. distributor has horrible customer service, and those coils are prone to leaking. i'm looking to kw v3s (more track minded), or buddy club rsds (dumpage)..

after some road testing I'm pretty sure 23 inches from top of fender to the ground is the lowest you can go and still seriously be drivable. I was hitting my x brace on everything at that height. 23.75-24 is the lowest I can go without hitting braces on the ground. If you've got bigger wheels you will have to have your fenders rolled in the rear, bumper tabs moved, and the bumper trimmed. Up front you have to pull you fenders or get wider fenders.

your height isnt what makes a ride good or bad its having the proper valving of te strut to the spring rate... driving style/car weight all play a factor etcccc.

I'm with the 2 stupids. That makes 3 stupids.

The engineers did a number on my brain the past weeks.

ive heard of 1 set of JIC coilovers leaking from what i know, i think mine had 30k miles total on them and 3/4 of that time the suspension was on a stiff setting and all the way down.

i was almost tucking rim on 17's on the JIC's i dont think you need to go any lower than that.

my megans could drop the car on the frame though, but i didnt like how they felt

Great suspension? Yes, but not for the purpose being described here. The PSS9's only drop down to 1.4" according to Bilstein USA, the KWV3's also don't go past 2" IIRC.
