i DID search and there was only 5 of the topic

and they are all about how to install and which one to get.. didnt say what they are for.

can someone explain what they are/what they do and how much they go for.

It catches oil from the PCV before it enters the intake manifold, hence the name "oil catch can".

 

The oil catch can seperates and catches the OIL DROPLETS from the BLOW-BY GASES before the the blow-by gases are recirculated back into the intake manifold. This helps to keep the intake manifold clean. The oil droplets also lower the detonation point of the intake charge, so by removing them before they would enter the intake manifold the intake charge is not diluted or lowered.
