Are Azenis' better than RE010's?
Are they, or worse, equal? I need input about the wheel.
Have a good day

By most reports, here's how these tires stack up:
Dry traction: Azenis Sport
Wet traction: Bridgestone RE010
Treadlife: Bridgestone RE010 (although neither is great)
Price: Azenis Sport
Availability: Bridgestone RE010

treadwear is pretty much made up by the companies at this point i think...azenis wear quicker than RE010 i'd say, almost the same...but 010s are 140, azenis are 200...differs between companies.

In the dry they grip a lot more. In the wet, not quite as good.
RE-010's were fun in the rain, I once set FTD at an autox in the rain on them.

I thought tread wear is regulated by the GOV. ????
RE010 are 140
AZENIS are 200

My P700Z's on da beater are 140.... I get ~35,000 miles out of a set.. no where near that with the 010's
OH...
I had A022 Yokos which were cheaper then the RE010 and Tracked (limerock)really well but sucked due to the wear (less life then RE010) and they made a whole bunch of noise and never had any real grip in the street.
But were a sh t load lighter then the Azenis.
Just a side note: tread was 120 wore quick, had no traction and made noise. Specs Yokohama A022A

wait..i'm confused My azenis outlasted and my reo10's by more than double. My azenis were daily driven and saw a few track days and are still in amazing shape, my reo10's used to die after a single track event and even daily driving used to wear out quick!
fais-who's beside table is a set of 16" azenis w/ jdm rims.

I have ~9,000 miles on them... and they are almost dead.

the re010's are "grippier", however b/c of the treadwear consideration, many hold the azenis up for a good bang for the buck.

All I have noticed is that bridgestones seem to have the stiffest sidewalls on the planet. I have tried Nitto 505(worst by far no grip whatsoever and felt like I was driving on pillows), falken's grip seemed equal but sidewall flex was less then OEM's, I have dunlop sp8000's right now they are tolerable, but I not gonna buy them again. I miss the bridgestones preciseness< is that a word? but I don't like the price or the fact that when they wear down they make the car pull to one side.
i really enjoy how much notice they give you when they kick out. makes for very confident driving on the track.
and i love the wail they make under hard cornering. reminds me of darth vader's tie interceptor screaming down the trench.

Yes! IMO better in Dry, Wet, Turning, Braking, but most likely not longer lasting.

The Azenis may be a good bang for the buck, but it's because of their purchase price, not because of any greater treadwear.

One reason that the Azenis don't last as long as many other tires is shallower tread depth. Most street tires - even high-performance street tires - have a tread depth when new of 10/32". The Azenis come with a tread depth of 8/32".
