95-01 JDM itr front nose to a 96-00 ek what u guys & girls think?
so i was designing my car on this program i have at work.. i took a pic of a jdm front clip of a teg and i mixxed it with the front clip of my ek. ive already seen one on a black eg. I wanna know what u guys think of it.. I wanna kno can it be done on my ek?? is it just bolt on or do i have mod some stuff..IF anybody has pics of one already made.i wanna see em. ive converted my cx front to a jdm ctr front..

I would definitely not do it. The only place this might be acceptable is on the east coast....but that's only if you put some 20s on it too

The EK looks a lot better than the DC2 in any form, IMO. Well...atleast the 99-00 EK. I miss my EK........

hey dont be dissing the east coast. I live on the east coast and that nonsense is totally unacceptable. mixing tegs with eks is just preposterous and not to mention 20's that is just plain crazy.

Good info...And btw.. we dont put 20's on our civics in the east coast. ppl from florida do dat..Thats about as bad as ppl in the west coast having the highlighter color paintjobs with neons under the car and altezza tails and halos..look tacky and home made....i think thats a nono. but jus wanted 2 see wat ppl reaction was towards it.

I have seen a JDM ITR front on a 96-00 hatch. Didn't look good IMO. The styling did not match.

hey, i've seen some nasty looking cars from illinois (and the midwest) as well.

actually, no people from florida don't do that either. besides, i've seen some nasty cars nation wide, no matter what coast. but i would suggest you not put stereotypes on anybodies car, after all you want to add a itr front end on your EK.

i have a JDM Itr front on my 92 hatch i bought it like that but i like it. who cares if people on honda-tech dont like wat your car looks like. to do it im sure you will have to weld the itr 1/4panel to the ek one

I'm from the east coast and there are fewer modified Hondas over there overall. On top of it, I've seen much more invested in rice out here than from the east coast.
Making this front fit on a 6th gen would be about the same as putting any other front end conversion on a car it doesn't belong on. Get new hood, fenders, bumper, headlights and grille if applicable. Also get core support (needed for most swaps). Then take your stock fenders and cut them in half. Save the rear half. Cut your new fenders in half too. Save the front half. Weld the two together so they fit the car. Put it all on the car for a test fit (this includes welding the core support on after you remove the stock one). Then get it painted and put it on the car and be prepared for a lot of attention. Both good and bad.

99-00 civic Front-end with OEM Si lip,Oem SI Grill and fog lights , call it a day man..
and yes they are a some Ricers around here in boston..
but they are alot of clean ones around here too..

i was thinkin bout 99-00 fronts on my car but i seen 2 many ppl get stripped for theirs here especially where i live at.... I guess im a stick with my 96-98 front.. put sum mugen lips all around and paint it and call it a day

you can put the 99/00 front on just get sum custom screws to hold it down. thats why i still have my bumper they didnt have the propper tool to take it off...anything besides the 10mm will get them all out of wack

nah cuz i aint got halos or highlighter paintjobs..and i got my jdm foggies..everything i got in my car honda made except for my HIDs' Theres a big difference

If you wanna do something "different," but that will actually look good, get an Acura 1.6 EL front end from up here in Canada. Hands down the best front end you can put on a 6th gen.
The reason why I say that it's "different" is that it's been done up here quite a bit...but that's because we have access to the car. Down in the US, it would definately be a little more unique.
