95 LS need help determining if rack or ps pump is done?
when i drive the car the steering is very tight and hard to steer with one hand.
also when im driving i hear a loud whining sound coming from the engine like a belt is too tight or a pulley is fucked? could the pump not be circulating the fluid or would the rack be toast?? thanks for the input

Did you check the powersteering fluid level. PS cars whine annoyingly when they are low on fluid. If it is full and the belt is still there it is either your pump is bad, or the rack is bad. Good luck!!!
