Default Clutchmasters or Competition Clutch?

Which would you prefer overall?

What about a specific model between the two for a 450whp daily driver?

Cant say anything about clutchmasters but we run competition in tons of 4-500 hp cars with no issues. Stage 4 and 5's

I just replaced my clutchmasters stage 4 clutch disc for a comp clutch stage 4 disc and reused my pressure plate. They are not the same... They are similar, but definantly not the same. From jsut swapping my worn out clutchmasters stage 4 disc to a comp clch stage 4 disc the clutch assembly definantly does not grab as hard as the worn out disc. I always run clutchmasters normally.

^^do you think the comp clutch just engages smoother, or do you think it's also slipping more?

both are good in terms of quality, both have good customer service, and both support the races/racers

cant go wrong with either in my opinion

I do like the CM, and I'm sure CC is the same, the soft pedal pressure. the clutch feels only a bit heavier then stock yet grabs and holds so much more. Only thing I didn;t like about ACT. Yeah they grab and hold alot of power too, but their pedal pressures are ridiculous. I have an ACT 2600 in the talon and it's harder to drive then the teg, and the teg is the race car! lol

This is not correct information... the guy who use to make clutchmasters now works for Competition but they are not made by the same company i believe

If this will be a DD only either will work. I had the CC stage 5 on my 450whp setup and it lasted 12passes(I race it every weekend and DD it). I have a exedy twin now, it's like night and day.

I can't say anything bad about CM because I never dealt with them, but I can say that CC has great customer service and they stand behind their products. Also, CM has been around for a long time so that should say something about their products. I don't think you could go wrong with either company, just get a clutch that fits the application.
