Default 149k and my car decides to crap out on me

After replacing the distributor, spark plug and wires, i decided to add some seafoam to the ride.

i poured the suggested amount into the gas tank and brake booster. Now the car runs perfect except for the fact that im only getting less than 19 mpg. it sucks because i have to drive 60 miles to and from work each day.

on top of that, ive noticed coolant leaking from behind the intake manifold. its not coming from the thermostat, its actually above it.

any advice would be really appreciated

thanks in adance guys

Dookie

ps, when i added the seafoam, it didnt smoke up like any other cars

your leak sounds like it might be coming from the intake manifold or the water jaket that runs across the back of the engine. Dont know to much about the sea foam never used the stuff so sorry cant help you with that.

You really need to take an hour or whatever and find out where it's leaking. It could be something really simple like a hose and would take all of about 5 minutes to repair. But it could be something like a shitty gasket somewhere that needs immediate attention.

I'm hoping that you didn't actually dump that stuff into the booster. You didn't put any in the oil? Did you change the oil shortly thereafter? You should do some other maintenance with that kind of mileage on it, like a fuel filter and a valve adjustment. Have you timed it yet? I would hope so after putting in a new dizzy...

as for the sea foam issue, i replaced the fuel filter and resetted my ecu. not only is the car feeling very responsive, but the gas mileage is absolutely perfect.

thanks h/t
