DOHC ZC in my EF si w/ ticking noise, I NEED YOUR HELP!!!
Well I have a Dohc ZC that was running fine when I first purchased my EF si hatch. I have taken it to 2 autoX events and now I have a ticking noise that is louder than usual. So I took my ride to a local honda speed shop, after the diagnostic they came up with that my injectors are the cause of the loud ticking noise. They hooked up a stethoscope directly pointed at the injectors and had me listen. So okay my injectors are making a ticking sound? what could that be? The guys at the shop asked if I lost any power? I said no, but anything under 2 grand @ acceleration a delay or reaction for power is a bit slow, as soon it reaches above 2 1/2 grand the car runs fine. So inconclusion what the hell is wrong with my injectors and why am I consuming more fuel lately?

First of all, no bumping.
Second of all, don't replace, clean and flow test them first! Injectors are nothing more then solenoid operated valve which is capable of turning on and off thousands of times a minute. Gas is yucky, and can gunk up the valve causing it to 'tick'.
Another thing to do is to do a valve adjustment to verify it's not that, since most people mistake on for the other often.
Any real speed shop should be able to help you find a local fuel injection shop which can clean/flow test them. If they are not flowing proper and it's not due to gunk build up, then replace them.

If I were you, I'd start cheap. Try some fuel injector cleaner and use it in a high concentration. (Put in in your tank when there's only like 2 gals in it.)
If that doesn't do it, do a valve adjustment.
if that doesn't do it, get some new injectors. You can get them cheap as hell at the junkyard, or hell, I got some here you can have for free if you pay shipping.

Try a valve adjustment.
In my experience though, the DOHC ZC valvetrain is noticeably louder than most other Honda engines.
If your injectors are flowing fine and your valves are within spec, I wouldn't be concerned with it.
