Default Radiator Question...

Ok, so I am having the worst luck with the cooling system on this car.

I will be driving on the highway and it will start to overheat when I don't have the throttle down, but the RPM's are still up. Sitting at a stop light, the car will immediately jump to hot and the overflow tank will be completely full and steaming.

I just replaced the thermostat, all the hoses are good, and checked over the radiator for holes, etc.

Here are some of the things I thought about double checking, etc. Please let me know what you guys think.

1) Check for broken loose hoses (again).
2) Perhaps the thermostat was bad, or the surrounding gasket was/is bad?
3) Check fuses to see if fans are working properly.

I can't think of anything else.

If anyone else has had these types of problems, please help me diagnose this! It's driving me crazy!!

Thanks guys!

Your thermostat might be stuck closed...i'd def. check that. Sounds like you're not getting coolant to the motor.

Yea sounds like a thermo, was going to ask if you could hear the fan kick on. Sure you don't have a leak or air in the system?
