Default rewiring foglight on a DC5

Hey guys and gals I just bought a 02 DC5 and I want to re wire my fogs so I can run them with the park lights on or maybe get power straight from the ignition. I'm really not the wiring genius but I know it can be done. Any help or diy would be great. The more pics the better, I'm a little slow. Thanks

Go to http://www.alldata.com Search the parking light, find the wire, splice it, solder the foglight wire into the path of the parking lights and there you go.

I thought about that. I wasn't sure if the parking lights power could run the parking light and fogs would I need to get a larger fuse or relay

try it and see. You could always put in a larger fuse if its drawing too much power from the parking lights.

Isn't there a way to wire them into the ignition so I have full control over them. I saw a thread on clubrsx that said wiring the fogs into the park lights disables the highbeam indicator light on the cluster so you could end up riding with your highbeams on all day...lol....maybe the lighting forum could help I'll try there too.

You can wire them into accessory power, but it sucks. Why would you want to have the fogs on without the headlights? They are not a replacement for headlights. Only a supplement in foggy or rainy situations. I had mine wired into accessory power, but after forgetting to turn them off during the day caused my to wire them into the parking light switch, which causes them to switch off with the headlights so no lights are on unnecessarily during the daylight.

For some reason that sounds better than not knowing your highbeams are on . Did your switch still light up when the fogs were on? If so I would rather go that route I can remeber to turn them off I just want my highbeam indicator to work and to have my fogs on with my park lights. Definitely not trying to ride around with just my fogs on. So where did you splice the fog light power wire into the accessory power? to you for some answers.
