Default clay bar question

Can you dip your clay bar in water to get all the dirt/contaminants off of it?

I don't want to use next time with all that stuff on it. I am assuming it will scratach the surface.

Yes, a clay bar is supposed to be used wet anyway...won't hurt it.

Unless you dropped the bar then it should be perfectly fine. The whole reason for the bar is to pull contaminants from the paint so naturally it will have particles in it. Did you not clean your car well enough when you used it? I guess that could pull particles that could scratch it, otherwise I dunno.
