well i searched for crx moulding but it bring up WTB and FS.. i wanted to know if the metal moulding strips are still available from honda? i know the black trim is that goes along the center of the fender,door,and quarter panel but i need the metal strips that hold them in place.. the clips are available i know.. ive been looking at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and do not see them i guess because i am either lookin gin the wrong place or you cannot get them anymore.. if you could help me in the right direction i would really appreciate it..

 

metal??? i never saw any metal when i took off my moldings. except the one behind the fender garnish.

I think its number 16/22, but i think both the door garnish and the metal clip set that holds it on are one peice, since i dont see 2 seperate peices there.

 

there is a metal strip that has clips behind the moulding that runs along the fender,door and quater panel.. i pulled my moulding off and left the metal strip when i first took them off.. maybe the moulding is not supposed to come off of there..

can some one who had a kit that took there crx back to stock tell me if that metal strip comes with the new i call it door ding moulding??

yes.. i modded you picture a little there should be metal pieces undeneth all that i have circled in red.. they are what clips the pieces to the car.. the lowest part of the door has it too if they wernt removed before you got the car

 

hate to break it to u but there are no metal peices behind the door rear 1/4 and fender trim in the middle of the side of the car. the only metal strips are on the lower portion of the "stock side skirts" if u need more clarification i will take pics ofhte back side of the trim i have for sale.

as u can see from the pics i posted above only metal strips are on teh bottom not mid section

would it be different for the 88-89 models? i could have swore i had them across the center of the door aswell.. maybe im losing my mind..

 

STOP!..... colaborate and listen. No metal clips on the door protectors, fender trim and rear quarter trim.
The only metal clips are on the upper part of the lower plastic trim that goes on the fender bottom, door bottom and rear quarter bottom.

 

well thanks for the info.. i must be going crazy.. now i am picking up a 91 si front bumper and will be purchasing the according center door moulding with the fender and quater pieces as well.. now there isnt a differance besides the width of the moulding from the 88,89 -90-91 right?

You are correct Sr. Other than the width, they are the same and install the same.

 

thanks for verifing that.. now all i need is a good shape rear bumper and order up th emoulding and im set..
