ep3 function/form coilovers??
ok so i have a set of function/form coilovers for my ep3. i got the fronts on and then realized i forgot to adjust em so i took them off. ive done coilovers before(for my ej1 and ej8) but i cant seem to lower these. im not sure if its just the function coilovers or what but they dont lower like my other sets used to. if anyone has had any experiance with them let me know.
thanks
thanks
function form coilovers r like any other full coilover set up with pre-load.
what you do is preload the TWO TOP perches. after you've done that,
if you want to lower the vehicle, you must loosen the top 19mm nut on the shock (inside the engine bay).
loosen the BOTTOM perch, then grab the whole shock body n twist it into the cup.
once you have your height adjusted, tighten the bottom perch snug agaist the cup. done.

The EP3 front struts are not set up this way from what I can see in pictures.

EP3 coilover Megan Brand

other brand full coilover.
they all have 3 collars reguardless if its an EP or regular honda with double wishbone. two top collars are for preload adjustments.
last collar is the locking collar for the hieght adjustment. im pretty sure the EP Function/Forms are exactly like that of the megans, where you have to loosen the bottem collar to twist the shock body into the cup.
