Estimate $1260 just for a dent on the fender.
I went to the dealership and they said it costs $1260 to install a new left fender and painting of the fender, they said that they need to repaint the hood and the door just to match the painiting with the fender (metallic gray) + Labor. I really dont think it costs that much to replace a fender and to repaint it metallic gray to match with the car.
Does anyone know if the estimate is really true?

I'm surprised that they'd need to do so much blending on a new car where the paint hasn't really faded. I figured modern paints would be much more consistent...
thats a huge rippoff i think. i got a quote to paint my hood (******* rock chips!) and they told me they had to paint the hood and the two fenders to match the paint. the quote for that was around $700
screw them > craigslist has a bunch of mobile bumper repair way far less than or just search for nearest DENTPRO rep/repair tech > good luck

Just another example of a good ol' fashion dealership raping.
Color-blending doesn't involve re-painting the entire connecting panels, just a portion of them. They're just tryin to screw you so don't go for it. Take it to another shop.

Is this estimate for your insurance? or out of your pocket?
what is the story behind the damage.
If YOU are paying cash.. .its insane
if YOU are only paying your deductible....ok
if they damaged/someone else and they are fitting the bill 100%.... it looks fine 2 me.

he's getting the same amount of paint, plus a new fender, removal of the old fender, and installation of the new fender. His quote is in line with yours

that's a bad idea... I like people who work on my car to have an address. and even the legit guys usually only pop out dents and don't do any real body work.
if it's insurance or somone else's reponsibility then it's cool, otherwise get another quote or replace the fender yourself and have somone paint it. Mike has it right

if it's not that bad, consider paintless dent removal. there are thousands out there.
i've used dentdoctor.com
they can pop out anything same size or smaller than a grapefruit. they bill per panel.
