Default SC61 on a h22. questions.

Ok i wanna go with this turbo but iv done some research and some say its very laggy and some say its fine. Almost all the info iv seen says its laggy but on smaller motors like b16's etc. Will this be laggy on a h22? im going with a sleeved,built bottom end with a water/alky set up and wanna make a 500whp dd. I heard this turbo doesnt start to hit boost until about 5000rpms, is that to late on a h22? what would you rev this motor to boosted with a bone stock top end.?

I've been running a sc61 (e-housing) on my h22 for about 3 years now , and I think it's the perfect combo . I'm throwing 21lbs making around 450ish , and from about 4500rpm to 8600rpms it makes good power with a smooth powerband.

It's a fully built 87mm 9.1 comp with a ported head with crower turbo cams. My stock h22 on 8psi made 320whp and ran 12.0 @ 118. When the motor was stock it made good power and I only reved it to 7400rpms. I still havent pushed my new setup yet , I know it will make 550whp when we go back to the dyno.

SC6152E on stock H22 motor here in a 5th gen prelude. The .63 exhaust side definitely let's this turbo spool quick.

Street tune by myself on CromePro, step retard @ .75deg per psi. AFR 11.8 @ WOT. Made 270whp/205wtq @ 7psi. Full boost by 3800rpms.

This exact turbo made 560whp @ 26psi on a previous setup.
