Changing rear brake pads on a GSR and ran into a problem!
I was trying to change my rear brake pads and the brake piston fell out!
Now I can't get that sumbitch back in! I am really paranoid of breaking that
piston seal by forcing in the piston unto the thread.
Has this happened to anyone before?
I really appreciate your help guys!
Of'course I tried to change it myself and realize that if I had read monkey_truckR's how to: rear brake pad change, I would not be in the position I am in now.
Oh well...live and learn...

Monkey_truck's guide is still available. The search doesn't work but somehow I found it the other day.
The rear brake caliper piston screws in and out. Why don't you try to just screw it back in?

I am afraid of rupturing the rubber piston seal. Should I just force the piston unto the thread? I looked at monkey_truckR's rear brake pad guide.
I just need advice on how to push the brake piston back unto the thread without breaking the rubber seal.
Oh yeah, anyone wanna recommend any brake fluids for a street car (all season) that sees the dragstrip occasionally?
Thanks

ATE super Bl00 =
twist it clockwise slowly and the piston will go back in...
the dust boot looks like it will twist off... but it will not.
you will not rupture the 'seal' unless the piston falls out.

Don't confuse the outer dust boot with the seal. The seal is a small ring inside a groove in the bore. If you rip the boot, it's not the end of the world.
Thanks for the info guys.
I guess I was a lil' too worried about rupturing the boot for the brake piston.
The piston accidentally fell out, the washer, bearing, spring, etc.. came out of the brake piston. It was a bitch to properly reassemble the brake piston!
I will try to work on it tonight.
If anyone else would like to add a comment...feel free
