Fake CTR armrest for your hatch!!!
this is simple just find a four door civic with the armrest and have it upholstered with red stitching
only the ebrake screws will work but you can always customize it to bolt to the floor

Ok .... and?
Do you think you're the first person to think up putting black suede with red stitching on part?
Here's a better idea:
Buy an Integra Type R armrest, unscrew the hinge and top from the armrest, and replace it on your 6th gen armrest. Then it actually matches.

I believe he's simply trying to pass along some information that he thinks other Civic owners might find helpful or be interested in.
Will the ITR arm rest close properly when bolted to the smaller Civic console?

The GSR ones do, I don't imagine the USDM R armrest is any different. As far as I know, all the USDM R interior parts are refinished GSR parts.

For the most part that's true. I wasn't sure of the fitment since I'd never tried to swap one over from the ITR to the EM1 or vice versa.

I have an ITR armrest pad that I am putting on my optional armrest in my EH. I'll probably do it tomorrow if I have time.

I can be a lot meaner, trust me. I just dislike posts that are written like they're an instant messenger blip.
If he had included pictures, a writeup, locations on where to get the fabrics, estimated costs, etc .... this thread would have been awesome. Instead, it's a one-second blurb about "Wouldn't it be cool if"

LX and EX models in the US had the armrest. LX SE, EX, and EX-V sedans in canada came with it, as did canadian DX SE coupes, and it could be ordered as an optional part for anything, even the blue interior CX hatchbacks (seen these ones before with my own 2 eyes) 6th gen models got in the EX, Si coupe and LX and EX sedans (canadian Si, SiR and EX sedan)
Wow!! Thanks!! So I have a bunch of models to look for in a junk yard to get the arm rest out of. And all I have to do is swap that out for my console, and it shouldn't need any modifications right?
If you want the arm rest more stable, grab the bracket from where the e-brake cables bolt to the floot under the console and put it in whatever car you're putting the arm rest in. Otherwise it's all interchangable.
You will also need the rear bracket as well, its bolted to the floor and goes around the parking brake cables. You need to replace your current bracket with the new bracket from the donor car.
Go to Acura and buy part number 83406-ST7-003ZA... It's about $135.. it's the armrest (upper top) of the 98+ Integra Type-R and it should fit in place of the old existing armrest. I don't know what it really looks like but I imagine it's the black cloth with red stitching.
I got the armrest fabric from a 06+ Civic Si and I covered my eg armrest. BTW its black suede w/ red stitching. I'll post pics up tomorrow night.
