Default Rebuild or buy a used transmisson?

My b16 tranny right now is just about shot. Reverse does not work and I can't even downshift into 3rd. What would be the best way to go, rebuild the tranny by replacing whatever is wrong like the synchro and sleeves or buy a used b16 tranny from hmotorsonline for $700. I would have to take it to a shop to have them rebuild my tranny or have them put in the used one. Around $1200-$1500 to rebuild or $500 for them to put in the used one. Spending just about the same on both options. Any suggestions? Thanks again!

I'm sure you could find a used tranny for cheaper on H-T Marketplace... I'd just remove the tranny myself, save $500 bucks. There are tutorials on how to do this.
