Default overheating 98 Gs-R

Hey there guys,
I know this has been covered a million times and i've searched and read all i could but I'm stumped on this one. I've checked the relay, all the fuses, hotwired the fan to the battery and it came on, and finally I bought a fan sensor and replaced that and still no luck.
My car seems to overheat after hard driving but at high speeds it cools off (because of air flow). I don't think my fan is coming on either. I took the car out today after replacing the fan sensor (in the thermostat housing) and it crept up to the halfway mark after i parked to listen if the fan would come on. After 2-3 minutes of waiting the fan never came on and it started creeping past the halfway mark. If anyone of you have an idea of what's going on I'd be deeply appreciative for any help. Thanks!!
