Default STOCK CRANK OR AFTER MARKET???

I cant find anything on this so I am making a post. I cant find a crank my machinist likes he has turned away three cranks that I have brought him. He say he will not grind them down it makes them weak. First my setup, 82mm Benson GSR block eagle rods and je pistons. The car will be daily driven boosted and will probably see somewhere around 600 HP on occasion. So my question is should I hold out for a GSR or Type R crank. Go get LS eagle rods and a LS crank. Or buy a stock eagle crank witch he says he can get me for 450, brand new. I just want my motor to hold up because I drive alot. Thanks Jordan

Stock cranks are great. Why does he not want your cranks?

Are you bringing him cranks that have already spun bearings? Cause my machinist wont touch a spun crank either.

Get yourself a good gsr crank, preferably one that hasnt spun a bearing.Have him polish, balance and service the crankIf you bring it to him with ***** in the journals and he gives it back with ***** in the journals and not set screws, take it back, cause more then likely the crank wasnt cleaned the right way and will cause a spun bearing..

Not saying your machinist work is questionable, but 75% of machinist just do maintenance work..

Sounds like you have a good machinist. Don't ever turn/grind a Honda crank or use one that has spun a bearing.
