Oil pan gasket in '99 EX 4cyl.?

Oil pan gasket in '99 EX 4cyl.?
My '99 EX sedan 5-speed 4cyl. seems to be leaking slightly from the pan gasket as well as teh valve cover gasket. Have the stuff to fix the valve cover gasket now the bottom end! Do I have to remove the brace when I drop teh pan? is it a gasket or aHonda bond made gasket?

Yeah, it's not a gasket. HondaBond or some kind of sealant.
Seems like the brace would get in the way, you'll want to remove it. But the Helm book doesn't actually say that so ??
