d15b in a del sol
ok well i just got a d15b last night and i was wondering if it woulb be a good power to weight match in a del dol cuz i hear that del sols are really heavy??
Meh. If you want light, get an older CRX (87 or earlier), or a 92-95 Civic CX/VX Hatchback.
Otherwise you may as well get a Sol, if you want a Sol, because they're only heavy for their size... as a vehicle they're about the same weight as (physically larger) Civic Coupes & Sedans.
1993 Honda del Sol S MT 2277
1993 Honda Civic DX CPE MT 2224
1994 Honda del Sol VTEC MT 2491
1994 Honda Civic EX CPE MT 2443
There have been dozens of threads on this, though I've been having a hell of a time with Search lately.

Sols have some extra reinforcements, to try and counteract the roof getting lopped off. Most convertibles weigh more than the car they're based on for the same reason.
Though cars that start off as a convertible don't always follow the same rule of thumb.
