So this is my car, a 96 GSR. It's got the stock 6 spokes back on it now, not these wheels:


The car was actually just washed in that picture, the white specks are pitting. The bumper was repainted badly and looked like ****. On top of that I skidded into a tow hitch receiver and cracked it right behind the license plate just a short while ago. So I know that I'm gonna repair the damage and repaint the whole thing, but while I'm at it, I figure this is the time to put on any accessories. I was considering some new corners, maybe clear or black. Also, since I'm painting I figured I'd put on a front lip. Thing is, won't a ITR lip look odd with no side-skirts or rear lip? I can't seem to find any for a 4 door.

Another possibility would be to say expletive it to striping down and repairing this current bumper and look for a body kit. Thing is, are there any body kits that don't look completely retarded? Does anyone have pictures of a car with a bodykit with or without side skirts that looks decent? BTW: I'd love to do a JDM front end but that money is really not in the cards right now.

I'm really open to ideas here.

 

i would say to get a SI-VTEC lip and the foglights , dump your car on the sunflower rims and leave it as that.

if anything sitck to what you like, i know ht has ricer flamers but its w/e.

 

I say lip kit and drop.

 

With 98+ front

 

'98-01 front with an ITR front lip

 

i would keep the 96 front with a nice lip and oem fogs... everyone is doin the 99 front

 

for a cheap budget, i say get either of the following:

-97 ITR front lip painted, stock skirts painted, nice drop, good set of nice wheels

I have a 96 GSR also and went with the 98 front. I like it but if I could do it all over again, I would stick with the 96 front and go with the JDM fogs, those are the hizzles my nizzles!
