Default $700 for HP

I was wondering what would be the best way to get the most out of my 02 RSX-S in HP terms with $700 dollars... It is pretty much stock just a filter instead of airbox and universal exhaust with piping.. thanks

lol $700 is really not going to get you much gains.. that's, if you're lucky, exhaust and if you have an 05-06 you might as well not even spend it on exhaust.

Maybe an intake and headers.. but really with $700 you're not goint to get much. Need more cash flow then that. Gotta pay to play

you could get 2 Carbon fiber peices (Hood and Wing, Nose, Trunk -whatever keeps you under $700)
it won't get you any more HP, but it will reduce your weight, and you will be faster!

(Plus it'll look WAY cooler!)

you can get a no name intake from ebay. An intake is an intake, i'd go over more about it but there are threads that have discussed thoroughly between SRI and CAI. Just remember an intake is nothing but a mandrel bent tube fitted for your car.. so save the money and buy a no name then a brand name. Also with the rest of the money just save up your money till you can buy bigger and better things.

it'll be lighter but wont be much of, if any, a gain.

Hondata reflash, without a doubt. Best mod for $500 you're going to find.

Carbon Fiber is just about the biggest waste of money out there. Make sure you get some euro tails, stickers, maybe a $20 ebay mod chip, and a turbonator too.

Save and get Kpro.

LMFAO...

like he said, your best bet and moneys worth is get K-pro.
If you want power.. it costs. Don't worry i think we all at the very very beggining of learning about 4 cylinders and making them fast, thought we wanted to find "cheap" mods or something to make your car faster without spending a fortune but when reality hit you finally realise it actually costs real money to make a car faster. As the saying goes, "You have to pay, to play" and it isn't cheap.

so get a good job that can support your, as i like to call, habit. lol.

If you want the most power. A 50 shot will be your biggest gain per dollar spent.

How ever you might want to consider a Race header(DCRH, JRRH, BCRH) and a injen CAI. Those two combined should net you somemore power. I would also consider getting Ingalls Torque Damper or ESMM. That won't add any power but it helps you put the power you have down to the ground and elminate as much wheel hop as possible.

I don't think I would even consider getting a cf hood and rear hatch at your stage. I think of that stuff as more fine tuning when you have pretty much exhausted all means of making power with out having to spend a lot of money. Its better to add the power first and drop the weight later.

Guess i'm lucky.. i have a job that supports my "habit" but unfortunately i have to spend the money fixing the "rice fuckups" the car has endured from previous owner.

I agree with all but the 50 shot.. in the end you'll end up spending more because you will constantly have to fill your bottle and also what if you get backfire? Then you'd be screwed 6 ways from sunday and have to buy a new motor, which i take you wouldn't be able to afford. I know warranty, if you have any, wont cover it and you sure as hell can't hide if it was ran on nitrous. So i'd steer away from the "laughing gas" especially if you're on a budget. Best bet for minimum amounts of gain would be Race Headers and intake. But then again, i've looked at calibrations and have seen putting RH with CAI start leaning you out.... which all boils down to engine management, i'm not saying you can't get away with I/RH/E as many people do it, but to be safe.... K-Pro comes into play. If you just save up for K-pro first, everything else down the road comes together because you will see how K-pro is the key to your cars true power.

I agree on the race header but I would get some shocks/springs before the torque dampener. It's a night/day difference with my Dspec's while the torque dampener is barely noticeable.

And nitrous

an intake and reflash can go a long way
get your intake used and both should be around 700 bucks

Race header. You can find great race headers that dont cost as much as Toda or Mugen. I have DC. One of the best mods i can recommend.
