spewing gas from tank
i filled my car up yesterday and i went out this morning a there was a puddle of gas under my car and gas all over the side. So my first thought was someone was siphoning gas from my car. Well i was working on my car and like an hour later there was another puddle and the whole neck and part where u stick in the gas nozzle was full of gas. So i tried to push down the gate to let it fall back into the tank but it didnt help. so i had to shake my car and then it gargled and went back down but does ne one know wat happened and how to prevent it in the future cuz its kinda doing it again but ive been keepin an eye on it so plz help
wow i dont know how much mine spit out i think it may have been like a bubble in the tank or a vacuum or something ne one else have ne more detailed descriptions
Have you removed your EVAP canister?
If you plugged off the vent hose it will build-up pressure.
Cold gas expands so if you filled up at a hot part of the day and drove straight home and parked it. It would create enough pressure to overflow. You must of filled it full. That is after the pump clicked off. This is why it does is that way.

If you take out your EVAP canister, route a tube from the nipple to the hole on the passenger's shock tower to vent out gases. You don't really have to, but doing this will prevent you from just venting gases into your bay or building up too much pressure in the tank.

where is the evap canister located and how do i check if its clogged or replace or remove i imagine it is still hooked up tho seeing as how most of this car is stock
Evap canister is the large black plastic canister to the left of the throttle body on the firewall about 6 inches down.

It's to the left of the fuel filter, with the red cloth wrapped vacuum hoses coming off the top of it.
