I have a 1997 b18b 80k, took off the head to get it milled and had two stripped head bolts. I had to pull the valve springs to get the easy out onto the head bolts. Lost 2 keepers, went to my friends house got some b16 keepers and went to the machine shop. Went i returned he said head looked great but he milled it perfect and he reinstalled the valve springs but told me the keepers for the one valve had been incorrect and that he had some that worked.. Any chance the wrong keepers are causing the one exhaust valve on 3 to stick open. Didnt happen before mill started fine but the clearance when the valve is stuck threw the rocker out. Kinda Loud. Just looking for some insight... Searched........

 

Could be the wrong one, maybe causing the valve to jam, its a pretty easy fix, and the parts are cheap so i would just get the right ones

took off keepers, spring, and retainer, valve doesnt move prolly bent valve or guide same as other posts i've searched just thought i would get lucky.. guess not
