Default H22 Header #2.....Almost

I just have to weld the collector on and I'm finished with this one. Maybe we can get Corey to take it to the dyno today prior to the event this weekend at Summit Point. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emwink.gif" BORDER="0">

I'll post more later, my battery died.

I've heard of reverse engineering, but that's the first time i've seen upside-down engineering!

Looks pretty - primaries are shorter than I would have expected.

How will fitment be as far as x-member, etc?

Is that the 4-2-1 design? I can't tell from this angle...

sorry, i've missed the genesis of this. would you consider it appropriate for a supercharged lude? (9psi, built bottom end at 9.5:1)

will it fit the SH?

i'm not in a hurry or anything, but would probably buy as soon as it's available!

A couple more for you guys. Please remember this is header is just a prototype so the production ones will be nicer. As it is configured I don't think they'll be any interferences with the Alternator, P/S and the front engine mount. These header is about 3/4" closer to the block than the 4-1 and the secondaries can easily be moved 1/2" - 3/4" closer to the block. Right now I'm more interested in the performance versus packaging. Both headers are just painted with black hi temp paint.

And for those of you who are up side down challenged

The secondaries should be about 1/2" below the front/rear brace but from the following picture you can see I can bring them a little closer to the oil pan. The only thing with this is the aluminum oil pan (like Corey's) needs to have the tubes a little lower since it is thicker than the sheet metal of the other pan.

And a couple comparison pictures with the 4-1

Corey will post some pictures after it is installed (which it should be by now) so you can see a side shot of it. Thanks to Corey for all the phones calls I made to him yesterday so he could take measurements. And it was good to meet your father, who drives a 4 Door WRX. I'm kinda fond of 4 doors.

well, its installed, but you must forgive me, I didn't have time to snap some pics before it was dark, and I was frantically trying to get my car on the ground and fired up.. The header looks great, and has A LOT more ground clearance than the 4-1, i'll find out tomorrow how it runs... I'll try to snap some pics in the morning, around 5:30, and e-mail them to SMSP to post them up...
