Default Very new to suspension just wondering about a couple things.

I see alot of people putting nice suspension setups on their cars befor doing any actual engine moding. I was wondering how much power/tourqe gains are achievable through doing your suspension the right way instead of just slamming it and calling it good to go.

I know none of the termanology or what any of the parts are besides the actual coilovers. just trying to get some tips.

This is really vauge but anyone who could help it would be appreiciated. thank you

Just throwing this out there..

search.

There is no possible way you can gain horsepower or torque when modifying suspension. It just doesn't happen.

really? cus i thought messing with the settings and stuff increased down forces and converted your tourqe to diffrent parts of the wheels...i dont know though thats why i was asking.but thanks i have been researching all day havent come up with much though.

Don't forget, in addition to JDM suspensions adding horsepower, so do stickers. Brand names are only good for around 5 hp each, but the Type-R stickers are special, in that it adds 12 to 15 (Integras make more power than Civics with these). However, the biggest power gain comes from bolting the largest aluminum park bench you can find to your trunk. We all know how badly a FWD car needs significant amounts of rear downforce to keep traction back there, especially with all the added power of a door full of sticker.

Other important parts for a "m4d tyt3 str33t c4r" include:
Muffler Bearings because the OEM ones are crap.
Heavy Duty Tire Beads

Imagine for a moment, that you could underinflate your tires safely, without worrying about your racecar-like driving ability causing problems. Done imagining? Now buy these. The KaleCoAuto tire beads are pure titanium - and 100 times stronger than a typical tire bead.</TD></TR></TABLE>
