i need help asap, i have to pick up my little sister at school, I cant start the car but it works fine yesterday, the battery is good but i dont know why it wont start, I pushed the clutch and start the engine but it wont start, help. and I dont hear any clicking noises when I start the car. help!!
does it make any sounds when you try and start it?
What have you changed since the last time you drove it, anything?
Could be the starter, fuel pump, a million things, need more info.

all i hear is a little humming sound, but no clicking, the battery is good all lights work and everything, what could go wrong?
could just be the battery connections........taking baking soda and water mix em' together and take paper towel dip it in and wipe down your posts or connections.....depending on what you have........then make sure their tight

the battery is fine tho, cos all lights work, powerwindows, sunroof, blinker light all work. but i couldnt start the car, pls help
oh, i just found out something, when i put the key in ignition(before cranking) the seatbelt and ebrake indicator lit up as usual, but the oil and batter indicator lit up too, what does that mean? maybe this will help me?
also, when I try to crank it(start the engine) it doesnt do anything, so sound or whatsover, its like when the alarm is on, it wont turn on the engine, so my guess might be something wrong with the immoblizer? where is the immoblizer? i want to check that out. thanks.
first off you shouldent check spark and cant check spart cause the damn thing wont crank over. the first thing i would do is get under the dash and unplug the clip that plugs into the sensor on the clutch pedal and jump the plug with a paper clip or a piece of wire if this indeed fixes the problem the clutch safty switch is bad and needs to be replaced and if you dont feel like replacing it just cut the wires and twist them together.
still no luck, what could really went wrong? battery is good, there is no CEL, and just couldnt start the car.
then i would expect a falty ingtion switch or mabe a blown fuse your going to have to get into a wireing diagram and trace it to find the problem
this happened in my ef a lot... there are two wires on your starter... one is your positive cable and the other is a little single wire female connector covered by rubber boot which slides onto the male input on your starter next to the positive cable... also make sure the positive cable is tightly bolted down
lmk if this helps

wow, i am amazed on how everybody posts on here what it might be, but no one posts the obvious.
OP, did you ever think you starter is just bad. you should have it removed and tested. if that checks out, then proceed to the next step!
and you mention immobilizer? what is that?

yes, your starter is on the right (passenger) side of the car. right on top connected to the tranny (under the air filter runner).

omfg!! I figured out what went wrong, the wires that connected to the starter got cut off, so I solder it back and it start up the car. I'm so proud of myself now cos I dont know much about car and I spent the whole day today. but thanks everyone, great H-T community.
