Well as the title implies, i'm on the market for a used S2000 and i have come across a couple of different units within my price range.

now the question is, what would you recomend for upgrades?
i want a simple I/H/E, suspension upgrade and then some sticky rubber.
also besides the usual wear items, what should i be looking for when looking at the cars??? i'm a tech so is not like i won't be able to know the difference between a sway bar link and a tie rod end... haha!!!
Thanks and i hope to be a S2000 owner soon

its all relative my compadre. we can not tell you what you like. enjoy the S in stock form for a few months, and then you will be able to form an opinion about what mods you want to do with her.
Since you're a tech, you know what to look for.

thanks.
i will definitely drive it stock for some time to get the feel of it. i had driven one almost 2 years ago that was traded in and i felt in love with the great engine/trans. plus the feel inside of the cabin.
I'm going tomorrow to see the firts one with the red interior, man i love that combination!!!
i hate to say it but is gonna be a dd even in the winter, so i first gotta get some good snow tires. plus i'll throw it on a lift and prep it for winter real soon. hopefully this will be the one and only winter i'll put it thru the snow...
i'm thinking over the winter months i'll start getting the aftermarket parts and during the spring install them. i know everyone will have a different opinion as to what they like. so is hard to ask such a broad question...
how about you LAS2K, what have you done to your car and what would you not do again if you could???
also i was just asking what are some of the normal things that go bad on this cars??? so i can pay double attention to those when i start looking...
like for example, on a MINI Cooper, you will have bad axle seals, window motors, oil pan gasket leaks and some other normal wear items... so what about the S2???

Well i dont want to discourage you, but those prices are REALLY high for the year and mileage of the cars. Look around and i can 100% promise you that there will be a better deal out there.

The only things that need to be looked at closely are the TSB's. Check my sig for all the details on those.
I have: Comptech X-brace, comptech tie bar, J's racing 60rs exhaust, Safety-21 4pt roll bar, Recaro SPG, Takata 4 pt. harness, powdercoated gunmetal ap1 wheels, APX titanium shift ****, Alpine 9857 w/ipod...i think thats it?
I don't regret anything (well i kinda miss my spoon exhaust sometimes)...just not having enough money for this addiction.
