Injen CAI rubbing with tire
I just installed my Injen CAI a few days ago and notice that there was barley any clearance when you turn the wheel to the right. So I drove it around. Just got home from hollywood and noticed that theres is a small scuff on the piping. I've seen pictures of others install and mine looks like its installed correctly. Anyone have the same problem??

I have a stock rim.tire set up. The pipe sticks out just as much as everyone elses it seems. It only seems to rub when i turn my wheel to the right almost all the way. Do I move the vibra mount up or down?? cause thats pretty much the only thing bolted that i can seem to adjust.
Think of it this way. Your air filter should be parallel to the ground. Move the mount only if needed. Make sure it doesn't hit anything or anything hit it when shifting.
Another thought. Are you sure the tire is hitting the pipe? Is your fender well loose at all? If so, It may be rubbing that instead. Also, did you lower your ride?

Man i just installed my CAI today and lemme tell ya i had the same issue. I went on a test drive and noticed the rubbing, i got back to the house and realized i didnt press the fenderwell back in all the way from when i popped it out putting the intake though. I popped it back in and no rubbage for me. I have a sedan though killyourscene, dunno if that makes a difference.
This is my first real "performance" mod ive done and man i LOVE the way it sounds now..especially once the TEC kicks in. I got the bug now..next is an exhaust and maybe the reflash(havent decided yet)
Thanks again X!

I'll check if the fender well is loose, but I'm pretty sure it's the tire. When I turn it to the right all the way it touches, other wise driving straight is fine. I didn't lower my ride for the simple fact that I wanna drive wit w/o worrying too much about the road..
Im going to post a picture right now so you guys can decide if the placement is good. Maybe it isn't worth taking the bumper off to move it. But be warned before i post the pic i did a absoulutley horrible job cutting that hole!

Thats the view from a straight on angle. As you can see I'm no professional at cutting holes in things.

Thats from the side, you can see the scuff thats starting to form.

And thats from the bottom looking up with the wheel turned all the way to the right. Looks like that may be the problem right there. But is it something to worry about? I drove to la and back ok i just dont know if it will end up making the intake loose over time
would moving the vibramount help? that would just move it up and down....everything else in my engine bay is installed well.
you need to remove the bumper and 'trial and error' the position of the pipe
your still able the reposition the pipe while its still in the throttle body (just loosen it)
i installed this in my cousin si and he has no rubbing issues so i'm sure it will fit
