Default How to get paint off my paint

My garage is very narrow, only about 18" clearance on either side of my car if I pull in straight. Naturally in order to make it as easy as possible to get out of the car once it's in the garage, I try to edge it as far over to the right as possible when parking. I've now nicked the right side of my car twice against the white wooden trim around the garage door, leaving white house paint on my sideview mirror and the plastic door trim. I figured that I could just scrape the paint off with my fingernail, it's thick latex exterior paint, but that wasn't the case. Maybe the plastics are scratched enough so that it doesn't matter, but I was wondering if there was something I could use to remove the white paint without screwing up the car's paint. Make sense?
