The oil idiot light has nothing to do with how high or low the oil is - it has to do with your oil pressure.

If you're throwing an oil light that means you have insufficient oil pressure. Might wanna look at the pump on that one - see how it's doing.

Damn wished i would of checked it out sooner...cuz my motor went after driving back from college. It shuddered and died while it was rolling. It would start up but will die after a few seconds if i wouldn't give it gas. It makes a rattling squeaky noise so i'm guessing the pistons are rubbing the cylinder walls.

the fact that you stated that the CEL flickered on makes me wonder if you knock sensor is going out, or is bad? do 95 civic ex even have a knock sensor?

but worst case scenrio, if you are losing oil pressure i would consider looking into the oil pump or headgasket.

the reason i say headgasket is, my D15 went out with a blown gasket. it was so bad i had the same problem you have when starting/driving the car. are you leaving clouds of smoke behind as you drive?

I don't know if d15 motors have knock sensors. Anyways the motor is making a really loud knocking sound...kind of squeaky. Theres no trial of smoke so i don't think its my head gasket.

The ex has a d16z6 motor in it and you are correct there is no knock sensor on it. A loud knocking sound when running sounds like a spun rod bearing. Drain you oil and look for metal in it I bet you find some.
