Default Serious problem with tuner toys rods

Has anybody received any defective d series tuner toys rods? I ordered some and finally got around to looking at them closely and noticed the lower half of the bottom of the rod was not cut. It was just one big solid piece of metal

Wow haha talk about quality control.

Get ready for a barrage of "you get what you pay for" and other similar comments.

Just dremel it out! Actually, Tuner Toys has some of the best customer service in the industry, and I'm sure they will do whatever it takes to make sure you are satisfied, just give them a call.. Obviously you received something that slipped through the cracks..

Take the bolts off and use something that wont scratch the rod to pull it apart. They are two pieces, but when they come brand new the line is very very fine and sometimes unnoticeable.

x2, are you dead sure they aren't cut? When I got my Eagles I couldn't tell they were two pieces, I looked at them for about 15 minutes with a WTF expression till I pulled the bolts out and pulled and saw a small crack open up.

That would be a pretty major mistake to make.

i'd post pics, but i dont have any batteries for my camera . I'll try pulling the bolts out and getting them apart. You can see where the line started, but it only looks like its barely there. It doesn't look like it goes all the way around.

if it has a line at all it has to be cut already. It's pretty hard to make a cut with 0 kerf half way through something.

alright you guys were right. They were cut, but i had 3 other people look at them and say they didn't look like they were . Although for some reason the arp bolts that came with the rods were on there super tight. We had to use an impact to get them off and they didn't come off without using a pretty good amount of force from the impact. One of the bolts came out stripped on one of the rods

as far as i can tell just the bolt, but i'll need to run a tap into the rod to clean it out. I'm sure some of the bolt threads are still in there. We couldn't get one of the good bolts to thread back in smoothly so i didn't even try using force on it.

acually the other day when we were looking at matts rods, I said it didnt look like they was cut just to mess with him.then i had him look where the rod was honed and he didnt catch that honing prosses would get rid of that line. But i was just making him paranoid. thats how we do.......
