Help with tire choice...end of day to decide to get in on tires.com deal...help
I have till the end of the day to decide on what brand tires to go with for my 89 CRX SI w/ b16 swap. This is a winter car so I need some all season tires that are good in the cold weather, wet, and snow. Because of the deal tires.com has right now I have narrowed it down to the following tires.
1. Falken Ziex ZE-912
2. Nitto NT 450 Extreme Performance
3. Hankook Ventus HRII H405
4. Falken Ziex ZE-512
The size will be 195/50R-15

If you have expensive winter wheels, you can't go wrong with the Ziex and it's rim protector. They're also good in the winter but NOTHING beats a set of dedicated winter tires.

Yep
I thought my Falken 512s were just fine for an all season tire. I had 205/45/16's on some GT3s. The dry traction sucks, but it's not really made for performance, just an all around tire that's good at a little bit of everything.

Thanks I do too. Before that I had TSW Thruxtons which I did not really care for.

The powdercoated black stock 18's get much more attention

pfft... I would take NT450s over ZE512s any day.
To the OP: If this is for your dedicated winter car, why didn't you get snow tires?
ZE912s are terrible in powdered snow, but do okay when wet or slushy.

Cause I am in missouri and the chances of it snowing more than once are slim to none.
