jdm b16a1 vtec solenoid gasket
I used a Del Sol gasket for the on that goes against the head. I also used a Del Sol for the smaller gasket on the actual solenoid. That one was not a perfect fit but works fine.
i think the exact match is the one from the 99-00 Si..i know that has the same solenoid, but i believe the part numbers are the same for the del sol VTEC. go figure..either one should work.
I tried to figure this out also about six months ago and tried them all. 99-00 si, del sol VTEC, 92-93 gsr and none of them are exactly the same. What I had to finally do was just HondaBond the hell out of it.
haha..i know what yer sayin. i ended up getting the solenoid off the del sol VTEC and just switching out the entire solenoid, then using the del sol gasket. go figure.
Yup,that's what I did.I use some Hondabond to stop the leak.
Before,I did tried to get the seal fit in it's groove by putting some books on the solenoïd on a table for a few hours.
When trying to put it on,the seal was looking ok.But after I started the engine,I saw a big leak.
The best way,it's to put silicone aroud the screen, then, there should be no problem.
I did 2 cars with mine and no leaks at all.
