i have quick question is it a good idea to get my side mirrors painted??? i now there plastic but wil the paint easily chip off over time? also when cars get painted do they usually paint the plastic molding below, such as the oem sideskirt the ones that come already black and are plastic??? i have seen a few cars paint these things to mach the car color, but im doubting its a good idea beacause it is plastic and the paint will start to come off?? can some one clear this up for me?? im not sure if i should leave my plastic parts on the ousdie of the car the way they r and not painted???

 

if the parts have a factory primer than it just needs to be scuffed up then sprayed. if they are raw plastic than it needs to be lightly scuffed with no finer then some 800 grit (just what i do) and sprayed with plastice adhesion promoter than painted
