Default NO SPARK. HF ENGINE

i have already changed the cap and rotor. The ignition coil. it cranks fine but theres still no spark. checked fuses. they are all fine. I'm stumped.
if anyone has any useful information please let me know. no check engine lights. fixed them all. could it be a ECU? how could you tell if it is a bad ECU? this HF engine is in a 91 civic hatchback DX. with 1989 crx HF engine. i'm using the HF ecu. and another thing. the distributor has 5 wires plug. and the HF harness has 7 wires with a 5 wire plug. there are two extra wires. they both are orange. and i have no clue what it is for. any helpful information is welcome

TIA

sounds like you are trying to use the DX distributor on the HF - won't work - you need Si or HF distributor - also sounds like the wiring for the distributor may be wrong - the 2 extra wires on the HF distributor are blue with a green stripe and blue with a yellow stripe (unless these 2 orange wires were added from the ECU) - did you do the DPFI to MPFI wiring changes? you should have two wires that were added from ECU pins C1 and C2 which are the ones for the distributor

i replaced the whole wiring harness with a HF harness. that means. i took all of the DX wiring out and put the HF in replacing all of the DX harness. what are those orange wires?

agreed those wires have to be connected. did you just switch the harness and not change the pinouts on the harness? the dx and hf harnesses are different there are wires that need to be changed. go to jlicrx link on his signature there is a dx to multiport wiring diagram that needs to be followed.

i have a HF harness in the hatchback now. and a HF distributor. they have a 7-pin plug on the harness and the distributor. problem now is that there is still no spark. no codes. everything is connected. but i don't know what it could cause it to not spark.
