Flywheel question
And there you go. If you want a little extra for about the same price as a resurfaced flywheel, you could always get yourself a lightweight aftermarket flywheel.
People will talk, saying that the OEM is better because it's too inconvenient to DD a lightweight flywheel in your car. However, the truth is, when I exchanged my 16 lbs OEM flywheel for a 7.9 lbs one (Yes, that's less than HALF the weight of OEM
), I got nothing but improvement from it, and it is in NO way inconvenient. Anywho, that's an option with your situation, so you can keep that in mind.
EDIT: Looks like it took too long for me to write that down, lol

I agree completely. I got an exedy stage one clutch, and threw an Exedy flywhell on it. After a couple of mins driving it, you don't even notice the difference. I daily drive mine too. Might as well upgrade while your taking **** apart.

Good choice.

Cool stuff. The stage 1 should still have the good OEM feel to the clutch, no more stiff than it used to be, but with better gripping power than before. Oh, keep in mind the replacement of the master and slave cylinders when you do this.

You would be better off talking to your local shop. They are easy parts to come by, and are often ordered by these shops for cars that come in. Just ask them to have a master/slave brought in for your car, and you'll have them real soon.

I'm not sure if you're kidding around, but replacing the cylinders is not part of a typical clutch/flywheel job.

Just a suggestion from my experience with the replacement of my old clutch and flywheel. When I did the job, my slave blew out. Shortly after I replaced it, my slave blew out. I was just saying to keep it in mind.
Wow I didn't know that lightweight flywheels cost only $50.00 or so!!!
See competant machine shops charge anywhere from $30.00-$75.00 or so to properly machine a stepped factory honda flywheel, and by everyone else's accounts that said "it costs about the same for a lightweight flywheel" that must mean flywheel prices have plummeted from the usual $175.00 or more they got for!!!
...wait or that means that everyone else's machine shop assrapes them for $200.00+ just to machine a flywheel!!!

Oh and all of this slave and master cylinder talk is kind of silly too. It's sheer coincidence that anyone's slave or master cylinder crapped out after a clutch job. chances are it was already questionable to begin with - ever think that's might be WHY the clutch went out in the first place?

Duely noted good sir, but the clutch I replaced had been worn down so bad that the bolts were polishing the springs flat. Don't look at me, it came in the engine like that.
Anywho, it was just a voice of my experience with it. Apparently it doesn't happen all the time, so OP, just keep it in mind if it happens after your clutch job.
