No Codes Car will not go over 50mph
1991 honda hatch ef, 1.5, car has no rpm gauge, bone stock, it idles, runs smooth, throws no codes whatsoever, and will not travel over 50 mph, it is my friends car, and though I have become pretty familiar with these engines, I cant seem to track this issue. I did try searching with my issues at hand, with no realistic results, it probably isnt narrow enough for search.
is 50mph right around 3k rpm in 4th gear? (it is a four speed right?)
not anything I can think of would cause it to be speed limited, but if the ECU is in limp mode then the RPMs would be limited giving you what feels like a speed limit. I understand it's hard to tell with no tach. I dunno though, since you say you've got no codes.
doesn't the title of your thread make so much more sense now instead of just "HELP!"

The operations normal one flash is there, and yes it is a four speed, I have tried looking into the fuel delivery, and wiring and such in the intake, but cannot seem to get any real identity of the actual problem, and this guy has to go a three hour drive to work, and I am about out of ideas.
well, now it does the start up flash, then flashes once every 5 seconds, I counted up to 51, I JUST replaced the o2 sensor last week on the manifold, and now its reading it again, once you hit half throttle, it dogs down and wont accel further.
"a code 0 is a bad ECU, therby being in limp mode, not allowing to rev past a certain rpm, 4k i think?
now i was told that a long blink means 10, is this true or does it blink 10 times?"
later in discussions it was mentioned that ten blinks can be ten, my blinks are 4-5 seconds apart, and go all the way past 51, shall I keep counting? they dont seem like long flashes, they flash for a second on then 4-5 off.
the car does act like it is in limp mode. this is frustrating, lol
ok, read it, did it, and no cel action at all, other than its normal engine light on once and then off, the plug doesnt seem to make any difference, so could I have a bad ecu?
