Some pics you may have seen are in cars with k20, the K transmissions use cables. The rusty unit is from a '90 to '97 Accord. The tall plastic one is from any RSX. For street cars, you're going to want the Accord shifter mechanism, since it's lower and fits snugly under the transmission tunnel. If someone wants a high-mounted shifter that's closer to the steering wheel, they use an RSX shifter and mount it on top of the tunnel. No style points, though.
or maybe the fastline performance road race unit.

thankyou soooooo much OINOJO !!!!!

1) It's aluminum.
2) It's longer than three inches.
3) I have the Fastline Performance track shifter and it dramatically changes the whole driving experience. If I had it to do over again I would get a Skunk2 shortshifter (like I have in my sedan) and the Curcuit Hero extender so that you can remove it when you don't want it. That option means a lot.

That was the reason I went with Circuit Hero. After driving a car with a Fastline shifter, I couldn't see myself daily driving a car with a shifter so high/close to me. After doing some research I found the best of both worlds and went with it (Circuit hero)

Honestly, does it matter it could be 3-4 inches long and be made out of aluminum, metal, wood, and etc...... The price doesn't justify the part, unless you honestly need it that bad.
