Question: JRSC + LHT Intercooler + stock b16a + 11psi pulley
Hello,
I have searched far and wide for a similar setup with no dice.
Here's my current setup:
b16a
megan racing header 4-1 2.5 collector
test pipe
2.5 full titanium exhaust
Here's some questions for you JRSC guys.
1. Is 11psi too much for the stock b16a (that's with the LHT intercooler and JRSC hi-boost kit with hondata)? What HP should this setup be putting out? I'd be happy with 220whp. Is that unreasonable?
2.Will most aftermarket B series throttle bodies fit the JRSC (without modification), any recommendations?
Should the TB be portmatched to the Supercharger?
3.Where can you buy SS kamikaze headers brand new?
4.What is the optimal heatexchanger setup for LHT? I heard the bigger the rad the better. Is this true?
I've checked the monster JRSC thread, but it's too much and hard to find my answers.
Thanks
Brian

I drove about that setup for 2 years without any problems. I put down about 220 to the wheels. I don't know about durability though as I haven't pushed it really hard, it was on a daily driver...

Port matching will probably help a little, but I got my numbers without it... (on a stock B16 TB). I don't know if a bigger TB would really help at all, I'm sceptical about that. Maybe you can find someone who has actually measured the pressure drop over the TB, that would tell you if it makes sense to upgrade.

They're all over the net, just follow the dealer listing on the Kamikaze website. However if I had your header I wouldn't change it, I switched from a DC 4-1 to the 2.5" Kami and I didn't notice much of a difference.

Bigger is always better because it increases the thermal mass which slows down the heat soak process. Of course thats only relevant when your in a traffic jam. In my climate (Netherlands) the LHT heat exchanger suffices. I did install a small motorcycle fan to help prevent heat soak.
I didn't do any quantitative measurements but when you grab the hoses after a drive you feel they're only slightly warmer then ambient (I'd guess maybe 10 degrees over).
