The 96-98 looks different from the 99-00

 

the civic type r lip from a 96-98 cant fit on a 96-98 civic coupe? and yeah i live really close to vis but before i go down there i was wondering if anyone had some pics

 

96-98 FRONT ctr lip will fit on any 96-98 (coupe, hatch, sedan).

the CTR REAR lip will not. rear bumpers are shaped differently.

 

VIS makes a copy that will fit the coupe..it looks pretty cool..but its kind of like trying to make a CTR when its not even suppose to happen. Why dont you get the OEM rear lip for 99-00 civics?

 

i got replica ctr rear lip.. the real ctr lip is fit for hatch... i have oem siR front lip which is suppose to be the same/almost the same as ctr

nice car, where did u find the rear lip? Only ones I like are the one u have and the Honda OEM rear lip... and the OEM one is pricey... but yours is pimp.... thank god I have a 99+ rear bumper...

 

honda OEM rear lip for 99-00 coupes are discontinued. VERY HARD TO FIND. I bought one off of a guy in NY and when i got it in the mail, the lip was slightly warped outward on the mid-upper edge. maybe that's why he sold it to me.
if the replica fits perfect, i think i'll try to get one of those. The imperfection on my OEM unit is buggin the crap out of me.

probably is the same one as autodynamic.com i got mine from cartunerz.com for 100 plus 35 shipping or something like that. just for the record, the oem rear lip and the ctr style lip are almost/exactly the same. just like the oem siR lip is the same as any oem civic lip for the generation. it fits okay, but really the fitment is ghetto. it came with some bolts and screws but mine didnt come predrilled, but now these lips are coming out predrilled. they dont fit like oem, meaning, they use the same attachment spots on the rear bumper but you have to put the screws through the lip and then secure from bumper. donno if that made sense, but basically you can see my bolts if you look from under. HTH

 

i was gonna get that 96-98 rear lip, and somebody on CSI got it to fit. the 96 lip would have costed me 176 shipped from that handaaccessories.com site? i forget if thats the site or not but they carry oem parts. anyway, i just figure that the replica way is easier to fit and cost less... but sigh oem quality and more flare out

I hope he didnt pay anything for the so called rear bumper conversion because the 96-98 and 99-00 rear bumpers are interchangeable and bolt up perfectly.

 

conversion meaning he bought a black rear 96-98 rear bumper and bolted it on.

 

I'm a little confused. Are these the SAME Type R lips that are being sold for EG's on the Autodynamic group Buy? EG and EK front and rear lips are interchangeable?
