Hey guys...I need some help.

My '94 GSR is throwing a code 41 CEL code, and I went ahead and replaced my O2 sensor with the denso oem replacement. I recently bought the car, w/150k miles, and figured it probably needed replacing anyhow.

However, I cannot get my CEL to clear. I've removed battery cables for extended periods of time, removed ecu fuses, etc...to no avail. So I'm guessing there is still something wrong with my car. I'm getting fairly bad gas mileage (20-22 mpg), but that may just be my driving.

I realize I may have jumped that gun on blaming the o2 sensor without testing it properly first, but its over and done. $80 dollars later, CEL still blinking, and my head hurts from banging it on the table.

Are there any other possible problems I may have that could cause the code 41?

I have the same problem, after having a code 41 for a month I got the NGK o2 sensor (#29415.) It was fine for 6 days then it came back on and its still on...its a 99 GS-R 85k, everything stock.

 

i got the same problem too and i did the same thing you guys did. ive done my research and its either short on the orange/black wire, o2 sensor not having 10-40 ohms or a bad ecu.
